Welcome to Winterbourne Parish Council Website

Winterbourne is an English civil parish within the unitary authority of Wiltshire.

The Parish Council serves Winterbourne Parish which is situated in South East Wiltshire, approximately four miles north of Salisbury. It covers the three villages of Winterbourne Gunner, Winterbourne Dauntsey, Winterbourne Earls and the hamlet of Hurdcott. The villages are in the valley of the River Bourne, formerly known as the Winterbourne. It was named because in its upper reaches, it often dries up in summer, to flow again in winter. The three Winterbournes are named after Gonnora de la Mare, Roger Danteseye and the Earl of Salisbury, who held the manors in the thirteenth century. In 1934 they were formed into the civil parish of Winterbourne, together with Hurdcott.
